Summary: Transformational leaders understand that learning is an engaging process, and as we learn, we seek and accept activity, experiences and knowledge (facts, information and skills acquired by a person through experience or education). Transformational leaders exhibit behaviors that influence students in the classroom by providing a vision of success. They provide idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration. Transformational leaders model the way and keep a shared vision in front of their students. This presentation examines the styles, traits and characteristics of transformational leaders and how that leadership style and thinking can be applied in the online classroom to further student success so students gain even a stronger practical and theoretical understanding of a subject.
